		<description>This is really interesting. Particularly on Twitter I suffer shocking @burn i.e. will try and get friendly but find myself retyping the message 5 times and then trashing it for fear of ridicule.
Are there any particular rules or faux pas for addressing Twitter members?</description>

		<description>Talking to actual people is vital. I tend to judge someone&#039;s Twitter account by how many Tweets they start with &#039;@&#039;. If people are tailoring their Tweets for a specific audience then they&#039;re likely to be socialable and useful. 

If they&#039;re just throwing links out into the ether then they&#039;re probably closer to the mindlessly self-promoting type of Twitterer that&#039;s best avoided.</description>
